"Dance" is a song recorded by Romanian vocalist Alexandra Stan for her second studio album titled ''Unlocked'' (2014). The track was made available for digital download on July 16, 2014, and it has been released as the album's third track.〔 "Dance" was written by Alexandru Cotoi, Stan, Mika Moupondo, Lee Anna McCollum, Cosmin Basasteanu and Erik Lidbom, while production was handled by both Cazan and Lidbom. A music video for the song was directed by Khaled Mokhtar and debuted on Stan's YouTube channel, where it has amassed over six million views. The clip was shot during three days in Bucharest, Romania and sees Stan and her backup dancers performing different dance moves. The choreography was choreographed by Romanian dancer Emil Rengle.〔
The recording was met with good reviews. ''Digital Journal'' praised the song for being "catchy", and Stan for providing "honey-rich" vocals.〔 In an interview, Alexandra Stan explained that "Dance" is a "very sexy club song and club image". "Dance" was written by Alexandru Cotoi, Alexandra Stan, Mika Moupondo, Lee Anna McCollum, Cosmin Basasteanu and Erik Lidbom, while production was handled by both Cotoi and Lidbom. The song was recorded at Fonogram Studios in Bucharest, Romania. "Dance" is a dance number, also containing house music influences. The song opens with acoustic guitar chords, which are then followed by a pop strophe.〔 The refrain consists of a saxophone drop, which is backed by cutted saws and plucks.〔 "Dance" ends with the last lyrics of the song being backed by acoustic guitar.〔 Lyrically, the track speaks about the art of dancing, but features also references to friendship and romance.〔 Digital Journal pointed out the opening lyrics of the song ("In my dreams you're falling, you're falling, you're falling down / I'm breaking, I'm breaking your rules / I really believe you can try and change your ways / By the time you'll know I'm gonna take your hand / Won't let you go / We'll lose our mind / We'll lose our mind.") for beginning "rebellious", but turning into "positive" and "optimistic".〔 Furthermore, they compared the beat of "Dance" with the beat of Kesha's "Die Young".〔
